Earth Day
With that energy and feedback, we scheduled and organized a cleanup removing trash and debris. Liz and Janet directed the groups efforts, creating a path and sitting area creating a sense of place connecting the wooded area to the playground and Orkney street. The space was kept organic and natural by only using the materials existing in the park like stone, wood and mulch. Around 30 to 40 neighbors were involved in that first cleanup creating what is now Orkney park.
